The mandate is Bush won. No matter how many ways you slice up your pie, he won. This graph probably looks no different than most other elections. You guys can keep trying to minimize the victory but the fact is he won. You can either cry for the next four years like some jilted schoolgirl or you can act like men and move on.

First I looked up jilted to see if you offended me. I don't know man. It sounds kind of sexist to say cry like a jilted schoolgirl or move on like a man. What if I want to cry like a man? Oh well. You sound a lot like Arnold. You two aren't related are you?

The mandate is not about Bush winning. It's about Bush claiming the American people have spoken. It's about the claim that now Bush can "reform" SS, make the tax cuts permanent, etc., and all because he won. The truth is he won with only about 30%. About 28% voted for Kerry. Less than one didn't want either, and 40% didn't even come out. Either way you slice the pie it's a slim margin of victory and not something I would try to say gives me mandate to continue my idiotic ways.

But then again, he is man of the year again...
