Stingy

"Either way, the sheer audacity of these grifters make me want to punch someone. Anyone want to start the legal defense fund for the next time I bump into Kofi Annan in Manhattan?"
That is Kevin Patrick of Blogs For Bush responding to the United Nations calling the United States "stingy" for the amount of money we are donating to the relief effort in Asia where death tolls have risen past 58,000. You have to appreciate a guy who tries to make us all think he would punch someone like Annan. Keep dreaming, Mr. Patrick.

I think what makes his entry laughable is how little money the United States really is giving. Sure, we could give nothing at all, so the money we are giving is a blessing, but come on. This is America. Bush raised and spent over $200 million for his re-election campaign. Hell, Bush is going to spend over $30 million on his inauguration alone.

Again, the money is a blessing, and the people power we are sending is as well, but don't act like we are making a gracious gift. Don't toss a few pennies in the homeless man's can and act like you did your good deed for the year.
