The Defense Science Board delivered a report to the Department of Defense in September 2004 in which they make the statement, “Muslims do not ‘hate our freedom,’ but rather, they hate our policies.” Another statement was, “Finally, Muslims see Americans as strangely narcissistic — namely, that the war is all about us.” Their conclusion was this: “In other words, they do not hate us for our values, but because of our policies.”
Of course, this was never taken into consideration, let alone mentioned in the November election. How many people in America believe that Muslims “hate our freedom”? It makes me so sad, and angry with our media. The statements made by this Task Force verify my objections to the war against terror and the continuing mass murder of Americans, Britons, and more importantly the Iraqi people. And what did they do this for? Did they do it to bring peace to the Middle East? Who in the hell believes that will happen? Most people I know think the Middle East is full of savages. Yet they support our President when he says he is going to bring democracy to their nations one war at a time? That doesn’t make sense.
I for one believe in what the Task Force concluded. History shows us that the Muslim people, when left alone to live their lives and thrive on their own, will leave other cultures alone. It’s their nature. It is our intervention and our support of one brutal regime after another that causes them to hate us and to wage war against us. Saddam was great when he was killing for us. As long as he did what he said he’d do for us he could murder any number of Kurds. As soon as he stopped bowing down to us, well, he became an evil man in the eyes of America. It was the same with bin Laden. He was great when he was killing soviets. When he killed Americans he become the most hated man in the west. I think Bush takes the lead everywhere else though.
Anyway, read the full report here if you want to. It’s long though.
