Roger Clemens Threw The All-Star Game

Did any of you National League Baseball fans catch the All-Star game last night? How about that Roger Clemens performance in the top of the first? That was pretty slick of him wasn't it? I love the way he "retired" just like the way Michael Jordan always "retired." For a few moments the Rocket was out for good. Then all of the sudden he's back. He signed a one year contract with the National League. All was as well as it gets in the MLB for a while. Along comes the 2004 All-Star game though.

Guess who's starting for the National League? Oh you guessed it. Mr. American League himself. Everybody talked it up about the problems between Piazza and Clemens but nobody bothered to consider the implications of this long time American Leaguer now being tossed onto the field for the other side. Does a pitcher like Clemens go onto the field and just have a bad night? Of course he doesn't. Clemens knows that the Astros will never make it to the playoffs, let alone the World Series. They are over ten games out right now and at the rate they are going it can only get worse from there. I mean, come on! Their freaking coach was fired mid-season because he sucked! A change that drastic is supposed to bring them back in time? Think again, morons.

Roger Clemens sold the National League out and everybody knows it. He threw the game on purpose so his precious American League and more importantly, the manager of the Yankees, Joe Torre, could win another game and get home field advantage in the World Series. If Clemens thinks that it matters in the least bit though he is mistaken. No amount of money will buy Joe Torre another title. He should just pack up his Frankenstein face with the cigar nose and raccoon blackened eye sockets, fall in a deep dark hole and then stay there indefinitely.
