Well. Bush has some good stuff up his sleeve now. It seems like we are finding more and more secrets in the devices Bush has been putting into play. This newest one is a biggie. "The authority to kill U.S. citizens is granted under a secret finding signed by the president after the Sept. 11 attacks that directs the CIA to covertly attack al-Qaida anywhere in the world." That doesn't sound like that big of a deal at first. Then you realize that we're talking about George "WW III" Bush here. Yemeni-American Kamal Derwish was said to be leading an al-Qaida cell in Buffalo, New York. A CIA-operated Predator drone fired a missile and killed him and four other people in a car, and the American government said this was completely legal to do. Derwish had apparently lost all rights to a trial and all those other rights that always get in the way of Bush and his sandbox games. Derwish was quoted as being an, "enemy combatant," and therefore, without his protections from America, he was just like any other person from any other country. Not entirely a bad thing until you consider a quote by Republican Senator Richard Shelby which I found all together extremely spooky. "A U.S. citizen terrorist will kill you just like somebody from another country." Shouldn't that be reworded to not make it not say that anything un-American will kill you? Maybe not. It sounds pretty cheesy to me. It's a wonderful time to be alive and stained by the Red White and Blue.
