      Thanksgiving

My day was mostly homework. I've completed some of my math, and I've finished the C++ project. I ate all day it seems, so when I finally got to supper, I wasn't very hungry. That's ok though. Leftovers are keen.

I cooked some Hamburger Helper Lasagna. It's a shameful excuse for Lasagna, but for Hamburger Helper, it's pretty great. I put extra hamburger in it to make it extra meaty like I love. Along with the Lasagna, I fixed some Kroger turkey flavored stuffing. Pretty good stuff, but it's not so hot in the microwave. It came out well though. To go with these two dishes I made a gigantic salad. I chopped up celery, sweet pickles, ham, and cheese, and drowned it in ranch dressing. It was pretty good. I just realized now that I forgot to chop up the tomatoes I bought specifically for the salad, which makes me kind of sad. That's ok though. I'll find something to do with them. I ate some Wheat Thins with the meal of course, and washed it all down with a big mug of Pepsi.

While I ate, I watched the movie I Am Sam. I'm not sure if the movie was really good, or if it was just better than Mr. Deeds, but I enjoyed it a lot. I Am Sam stars Sean Penn, and Michelle Pfeiffer, and is the story of a Sam Dawson, a retarded man, and his young daughter Lucy, who are struggling to stay together as a family and require the assistance of Rita Harrison, a high-profile lawyer who represents them in the custody case. The life of Rita is compared to Sam's throughout the movie to show that a family doesn't have to be split by problems like a mental handicap to have their own set of troubles. Her life is pretty much a wreck and it takes dealing with Sam and his daughter to show her where she's going wrong. The movie is pretty intense at some moments. It's a drama, so don't watch it expecting to laugh. There are some sad moments. As always, I suggest this movie to anybody who is old enough to understand the situations depicted.

That was pretty much my day. I watched some episodes of Buffy. I'll continue with Math today, and maybe start on Everyman. I'll need to write my report sometime too. Oh well. Stay tuned.
