      Incoherent Time

Time is fuzzy today. I rolled through two musical albums too quick in my view. My eyebrow rose higher when the last tracks came on, and I made a conscious effort to pick another album to get into a mood with. The time went quickly while doing some recreational programming in Visual Basic 6, and then reading about Film Noir. I kind of stagnated a bit between albums though. I scanned through my blogroll until the reading of other people's thoughts just skewed my own. The new album was still on the third track after what seemed like ages, so it was time to write. The time is really doing strange stuff. I'm tired. I went to bed way to late, and got up way to early. Most weekends are spent doing my own thing. I do some reading, catch up on homework, watch some TV, snack around, and wash my clothes mainly. This weekend was different that most. In a twist of fate, my old roommate and I, along with the girl from work, hung out a lot this weekend.

Friday night we watched Legends of the Fall. I thought it was a great movie, with a lot of meat to it. Brad Pitt gave a great performance. My friend didn't seem to like it much, so when I invited her over for pizza Saturday afternoon, she brought two movies that she considered good. The first one was Pulp Fiction, which she had previously chastised me at work for not seeing. John Travolta, Sam Jackson, Bruce Willis, and Ving Rhames made a pretty good setup. I enjoyed the movie a lot as I tend to do with Quentin Tarantino films. I saw the girl one day with a book dealing with Film Noir, which I had no clue about at the time. We talked a little bit about it then, but it wasn't until she pointed out the shadows of it throughout Pulp Fiction that I decided to read a little more about it. Pretty interesting stuff if I do say so myself. I tend to want to assimilate new stuff like that into junk I already like simply because I like a lot of stuff. I rarely run into something good on my own. I just pick out what other people like the most, and check it out. The other movie was Swingers, which I enjoyed a lot as well. It was a great movie to watch about dating perils that combined drama with comedy and a great deal of jackassity between a few young male friends on the West Coast. After those we watched some TV, and caught the end of Raiders of the Lost Ark. It's a classic worth watching again. As always, I suggest these four movies to anybody old enough to understand them. There is heavy swearing in most of them.

These words are sticking together with the thoughts and feelings in my head so bad that I can't break them apart any more to untangle. I'll stop for now. I'm out.
