      Night Out

It's been a good weekend so far. I've been resting as usual. Just thinking a bit here and there. I watched Buffy again today, then I dueled a bit with a lightsaber in Jedi Knight II. The game never seems to get old these days. Even when I'm getting smoked in every round, I seem to always find my way back to the arena. I haven't took anymore pictures with the webcam. I guess the new wore off. I did run it for a bit today though, but nobody stayed much to watch.

I went out to eat with some friends tonight. I had a pretty good time. We went to Cici's Pizza, an all you can eat, dine-in pizza place. The food was really good, and the world series baseball game was being broadcast on a big screen TV in the corner of the room. It was good to get out for a change and to eat something more than a variation of pasta dish. Something new. Something worth talking about.   Cici's Pizza!

After dinner, we went back to my friends' house to watch a movie. As strange as it sounds, I had never seen a DVD played on a real DVD player with a TV. I've always just watched DVD's with my DVD-ROM Drive, on my 19 inch monitor. This is pretty good, but it just isn't handled nowhere near as good as a TV it seems. The DVD we watched was a copy of the truly spectacular movie Pay It Forward.

Haley Joel Osment in Pay It Forward.   The movie is about a boy who is given the assignment in Social Studies to do something that changes the world. The teacher (Kevin Spacey), doesn't expect much of a result, but he has seriously under-estimated the potential of young Trevor McKinney (Haley Joel Osment). The movie has some great twists. I enjoyed it very much. Go out and get a copy of this movie if you haven't seen it yet.

It's pretty late right now, or early, depending on how you look at it. The time changed just an hour ago, so it would normally be about 3 am now, instead of 2 am. I can't complain. I adjust to these things pretty well. I wrote my world lit paper tonight when I got in. I think it came out pretty well. I'll revise tomorrow sometime and then wrap it up. I started reading a new book for world lit (We finished the short stories already. Maybe I'll talk about them sometime.). It's called Love Medicine. Once again I can't find a link to the exact copy I have, but I suddenly remember that I need to mail the money for my Amazon.com purchase. I pre-ordered Episode II on DVD, which is due out next month. It should be a work of art since it never saw celluloid. It will be the first truly digital DVD. I guess I need to get some rest. I'm out.
