I tried out ICQ 2002a today. I haven't tried ICQ since like 2000b. I'm impressed. The install is smaller, and quicker. The program itself loads faster than I've ever seen. Best of all, when I copied my database files back over from the old, old install, it not only automatically ran the DBConvert, it also informed me that ICQ now hosts our DB on their server. This is outstanding. ICQ has toned down the interface as well it seems. No longer is there side bars with side bars docked to sidebars. Just a nice clean interface, option buttons at the bottom, contact list at the top. The only downside is that it is from AOL, and classically, I now have the AOL install icon on my desktop. I've seen this in Netscape, Winamp, and now ICQ. Losers. But, as for ICQ 2002a, I have but one more word. Nice. If anybody wants to add me to their list, my UIN is still: 6043171. (Or is it even called a UIN anymore? Who knows?)
